Notes: Walter Ray was a stray that needed to be trapped by Animal Control. He was malnourished and infested with ticks and it seems this boy’s trust has been broken. Walter is slowly regaining trust and now just wants soft rubs and cuddles. He seems fine with other dogs and wants to play. We have been slowly building this boy’s confidence in a shelter environment and he is doing amazing.
Walter Ray still needs to gain a little more weight. We are proud of how far he has come so far. Walter Ray is Lyme positive which is not surprising considering all the ticks that came off of him. He is now on preventive and definitely not as itchy. Walter Ray will need an understanding home as he is still learning to trust. We feel another dog in the home would help this boy build the confidence he needs. Walter Ray walks OK on a leash but slow moving as he is so unsure of new surroundings. He is very treat motivated with beggin strips as we have learned they are his favorite. Walter Ray is patient when waiting for his food but lets you know he is ready to eat.This dog has been available for 48 days

- Dogs that have been spayed/neutered are available for adoption to any location including out of state residents.
